This Weekend!
A unique approach to Monoprinting
Places still available
THE EXPERIMENTAL AND PAINTERLY PRINT:
Monoprint from the Live Model
Saturday and Sunday, 10:30am-4:30pm,
August 2 and August 3
(2 days)

Instructor: Bruce Waldman
In this workshop, students will initially be taught simple and effective techniques that will make working from the live model an immediate and satisfying experience. These techniques will help facilitate powerful and expressive imagery and are ideal for artists who love to draw and paint spontaneously, incorporating draftsmanship and direct painting with printmaking.

This workshop approaches monoprint in a unique way by drawing and painting in color with rollers, brushes, and palette knives as well as exploring how to use found materials to create textures that enhance the atmosphere and mood of a picture. We will focus on pulling light out of a dark background and working dark on light. Students will find their color senses expanded and their drawing abilities evolved through this class. All levels of experience are welcome.
